You may be wondering why I am sharing this again. Well these are my Jordans and as clear as the hip hop and trap background I have, I tried to re sample images and turning them into raw data to analyze the sound on audacity. Primarily when we got demonstrated this technique of raw data into sound I never knew the power and potential that audacity had in it’s hardware. As mastering and messing with the static sound that the raw data generated, I found that what if I pic a small part and sample it. So I did, that why you get that middle melody that keeps the beat going. I achieved that by selecting a small area of the data that I like and warping it. Meaning that I stretched the tempo and made the sound longer because when I converted the data into sound the sample was very short. After I stretched the selected sample, I made the pitch go higher using of effects that audacity provided. As the sample was raw data I liked the fact that It was strange and probably will be used in further soundtracks that I will make for my personal interest. As for the bass I went around thumbing my shoes on different surfaces and the cause of the collision made different sounds from low pitch to high pitch. Unfortunately I have no vedia because I only carried the Zoom around with me. After collecting all the other ‘Banging samples’, I went in audacity and did the same process. Made pitch louder for high hats and snares, added reverb and extended the bass on the deeper sounds and surprisingly all sounded good.
