In Bosnia and Herzegovina there are over 240 rivers and corrupt state is building a large number of mini hydro power plants. The estimate by the RiverWatch, a society for the protection of rivers, is counting just over 300 planned mini hydro power plants in the Balkans. Many wild rivers across the Balkans will be turned into a mere shadows of themselves due to being curtailed into the pipelines.
