Power system | Details and power exemple
The Ethera, when in a high regenerative states, will reject silver and gold energy in the environment. This particles can sometimes be hidden to the eyes of auroras but trained Alter can sense them.
This phenomenon is used to sense the Ethera source in someone or something. Because a new Auroras, with little control over their power, will radiates this particles everywhere they go. Making it dangerous for them to continue living with no training.
A high Ethera source in an untrained body, might creates divergence in the body and alter such as unwanted transformations and heavy overuse symptoms.
The radiation of silver and gold particles can be measured and analyzed to understand and know more about the Auroras alter family , power elements, potential and control.
Before current technologies, Auroras used specific rocks that could captures those radiation and catalyze the particles in it. The more the particles were radiating and strong the more the gems will undergo damage and changes.
Those rocks were easy to find, transparent and usually near caves, mountains and beaches but as time went on and new innovation came to life, those rocks weren’t needed anymore.
Now simple machine can do that, they will give the exact potential, alter family, current control ability and element type this machine are usually used when the first symptoms appears but in some cases, dodgy its can decide to give someone this exams.
The results will show the potential of the Auroras, the the element type and the control through a code. As the control can change, the exams is usually retaken each month for Auroras in special academy.
The potential is represented by color, the potential do not change through life unless in some rare cases and phenomenon.
from worst to best : Grey, brown, yellow, green, blue, purple, red.
The control is represented by numbers from 0 to 8, the highest the number is the lower the control is, because it means that the user isn’t close to their alter.
The element is represented by the first letter :
P-psychic, F-forces, A-plasma, L-liquid, G-gas, S-solid.
Family Alter is shown as a small symbole :
Animal Family - three pointed star
Spectral Family - four pointed star
Astre Family - five pointed star
Mimic Family - six pointed stat
This code is shown in Id card and Academy card.
Here an exemple of what the code can look like:
A5☆, this means that the person is from the Astre Family, with a Plasma element power, a five level control and an excellent potential.
Genes aren’t the rule to know exactly if someone will be an auroras or what kind of power they will have. Having both parents, only one or non being an auroras cannot determine what the baby will be but, chances might change.
Both parents : 50% of chance that the baby will be an Auroras.
- 90% to be the same family type
- 99% to have only one of the element type from the parent
- 0,8% to have a whole different type
One parent : 25% of chance for the baby to be Auroras
- 2% to have a whole different type of element
- all the power type, family etc are random
Having Auroras parents or not do not affect the potential but can influence the control as people living in the second world are well educated concerning the Auroras…
The gene is triggered by an important event, traumatizing or not. (For people who have auroras parents). Because they usually lives in the second world, they are always faced with ethers particles, that triggers slowly their powers.
For the one without any auroras Parents it is usually triggered by being close to high ethera source or Experienced auroras, since most of them lives in the first world (earth) it’s rare and needs a lot of triggers leading to it being traumatizing.
Usually the Alter appear at 16.
Under 10 years old it’s very early and after 16 it’s late. Considering this, the control can be hard to train for someone to young or too « old ».
This are juste exemple, based on the family, the power changes even if two auroras might have the same elements. Here I’ll organize the exemple like this :

Animal family : tranquil states, use their energy to create a peaceful feeling
Spectral family : truth or False, can tell when someone lie based on there emotions
Astre family : inflict and amplify negatives and painful emotions
Mimic family : forbidden attraction, create and manipulate the ennemies feelings to turn them into « attracted slaves » that will do anything for the user
Animal family : mesure the magnetic field of an object, environment…
Spectral family : decrease the magnetic field of an environment or object
Astre family : Attracting magnetic objects…
Mimic family : change the positive and negative (charges) poles (N/N, N/S or S/S)
Animal family : fire immunity and resistance
Spectral family : fire portal creation, can teleport themselves from fire to fire
Astre family : (same power as Feitan from hxh : rising sun) the more the user receive pain from their ennemies, the more they’ll convert it into a huge ball of fire
Mimic family : manipulate and create different colored fire (each color depend of the temperature)
Animal family : water that can heal the user and others
Spectral family : tide manipulation, increasing or decreasing
Astre family : creates huge waves (tsunami like) to destroy environment or ennemies
Mimic family : creates water vortex
Animal family : creates a dome (round roof) of air to protect themselves or others
Spectral family : manipulate air current
Astre family : creates tornado
Mimic family : manipulate the amount of nitrogen, oxygen and argon in the air/body of ennemies
Animal family : wood wall, use it as a shield to protect themselves or people
Spectral family : can transport themselves into any wood objects and environment without anyone noticing
Astre family : creates an army of wood to attack their enemies
Mimic family : create Trees from the body of the ennemies (turn people into trees)
Power element can be combined, in the same category or not, here some exemples :
Liquid + psychic ( water + illusions ) = create a water prison that trap anyone too close into an illusion
Solid + solid ( boron nitride + diamond ) = create unbreakable weapons
To create a power with this system you just have to remember that the animal family heal/protect, the spectral family stabilize and usually have power related to spying, the Astre family use their power to destroy and the mimic family usually have the « smarter » power, meaning that their power aren’t as straightforward as others (and is usually just annoying to come up with lol).
