Finished watching We Were Liars, and I have a lot of thoughts but the main one is about the mums, (I didn't read the books, so I'm just talking about the show).
Bess said "sometimes I think losing them was our punishment, for what we did [...] then, I think if it was our punishment, Penny wouldn't have been spared, right?" I don't know what they did that summer, but hear me out: if we took what happened as a punishment for them it makes sense that Penny's wasn't Cady's death, but her amnesia.
Penny is presented as a stoic person, cold and without feelings, but we know is not just as it seems. She does have feelings, she just learned too damn well how to hide and repress them. Is easier for her when she can think about anything else and pretend to move on fast, and when she has a goal. If Cady had died with the liars, she would have been devastated for a moment and then buried her sorrow and pretended to move on. But this way, she has to go through all of it over and over again, remembering the deaths of Johnny, Mirren, and the dogs she took care with so much effort, without moving on. Also, she now lives constantly worried about Cady in a way she never was before. I think this outcome works even better as a punishment for Penny.

So... Mel and Santos singing You oughta know wasn't in my bingo chart, but I LOVED SO MUCH!!! They both needed that so bad.
I felt so bad for Al-Hashimi with her last scene. She knows what she has to do, and she is handling it very responsibly. It had been years since her last seizure and she could have just hide it or ignore it. Instead, she called her neurologist, talked about it with her colleague, saw the on call neurologist. I think that Robby was completely out of line telling her how she had to do things or what she could and couldn't do. She knows that drive with her condition it's dangerous, but was just having trouble accepting it. But again, Robby mistrusted her and snubbed her all season long.
The scene on the rooftop! Lot of thoughts about it. First made me say "omg! Look how gorgeous she is!!!" About all the women there. Then, Perlah crying and Dana hugging her!!! I love them both so much!! I need to hug them!!
Javadi is finally finding her way and what she wants to do and I love that for her. I think she has a lot to learn about it, but she's going to do it ok. Also I loved how well she described all in the ED.
I'll probably need to rewatch the entire season (and I'll probably rewatch it a couple of times) but I found the resolution of "is Robby going to kill himself?" a bit anticlimatic. Perhaps because it was divided into several scenes, but it left me expecting more. Although I loved the scenes with Abbot and those conversations.
I just finished watching the last episode of The Pitt, and I screamed so loud at the end that my cat got scared. I can't even think in English, I had to use a translator to write this.
I was already stressed enough for Jessee, and now that end?!
Con la nena no! Don't mess with Emma!
At the same time, as a whump fan, I need more of it. I need like a thousand fics about it. Dana's reaction and interactions, like making sure Emma is ok and helping her to cope and protecting her...
And Joy!! I need so many Jemma fics!! Joy protecting Emma as well, and taking care of her.
And based on the preview for the next episode, I also need fanfics where McKay finds Dana and maybe it doesn't fix the great divorce, but it does bring them a little closer together again.
I have so many ideas that I need Alexander Hamilton to possess me so I can write it all down.
Just watched the first episode of season 2, and I have some thoughts:
Can we talk about the toothbrush situation? Whose toothbrush was it? Was it Santos's or GarcÃa's? Was it something Santos told GarcÃa as something that happened to her, or was it GarcÃa's toothbrush because she was spending the night with Santos? I need more context!
Dana all cranky because she's trying to quit smoking <3 She spitting the gum to the same planter where she fell when Driscoll punched her was a nice detail.
McKay looks like she's going to explode soon. I'm not sure what is happening with her, but she look exahusted and seems like she's about to lose it.
Javadi distanced from her parents! I love that. I mean, I don't know what happened there, but I like the fact that she is setting boundaries. Also Shamsi worried that "Victoria is too young and easily influenced" ... Where were those worries when she send her 13 year old daughter to the university surrounded by people who were at least five years older!!!
I'm really glad Emma is ok, and I loved the fact that she wanted to complete her shift, no matter what.
I knew it was going to be Dana the one who rescue Emma! I call it! Dana was the first one to react every time an aggression (or a potential one) happened. With Mel, with Santos and with Emma (twice now). It's her storyline, it made sense that it was her.
McKay was the mvp tonight, I love how calm she is, and how she's there in the right time and place, and says what is needed to say. I loved the fact that even after all that happened with that patient, she really intended to heló suggesting rehab.
And talking about her... McEvans shippers, we've been fed for all the season! Yay! No, seriously, the interactions between Cassie and Dana were amazing.
I'm really worried about Santos. Like I don't think she's trying to kill herself, as some people have been speculating. But I do think she might try to hurt herself with one of her cuts, and that it might end up being deeper than she intended. Also, adding to the parallel that continues to reinforce the idea that she and Langdon are the same person in different font, now it is she who is stealing from the hospital.
But I think that Javadi is going to try to move in with Santos now that she overheared her fight with Whitaker. Or she could try to move into Robby's house with Whitaker. I'm leaning more toward the first option
Mateo is here!!
I have to say that seeing Dann Florek play an elderly man who seems unable to take care of himself hit me harder than I expected. And I usually don't have age crisis.
I loved Dana and Robby's conversations. It was about time for them to be honest with each other about their concern for each other.
I don't really care about the fact that Dana punched that patient. I think it was justified. But I can't stop thinking about something I read here once, on how a nurses' strike could make for a great storyline in Season 3. Depending on how things turn out with this patient, I think it's a possibility. Because if Dana were to get fired for hitting him to defend Emma, I think that could be the last straw for them.

For any McEvans shippers, I don't know how to even explain this, but every time I listen to Mon Laferte I can't help but think about Dana and Cassie. I know there's a fic that is trying to take form in my mind and I'll try to write it down but I can't picture it quite yet.
Does this happen to you? Do you have any song that makes you feel like "this is Dana and McKay"?
So, it's been a while since I've been really active here. A LOT happened, but the most important thing is that I finally moved out! It was harder than I thought it would be (emotionally), but I'm ok now. And the funny thing is, that it's only been four days and because I'm using my free time as I want to, without being interrupted, I already finished two chapters from one of my stories and started a third one.
I have a lot to catch up with, but I'm already excited about this.
This is a recap of the first three episodes of Blindspot Season 4 because I've fallen behind on the rewatch.
It will contain spoilers (just in case).
Madeline's character introduction is marvelous. Since the first minute is telling us: You are watching the next main villain, the one that will make everyone who came before her and after Shepard look like amateurs. Her starting point is strong, she begins killing all her associates without any regret. When she tells Tasha to put her gun down, she does it calmly and totally unconcerned, showing us how sure of herself she is and how she knows she's in charge. And her quote while toasting: "a woman who knows exactly what she wants". Perfect. I loved it.
As if this hasn't been enough, in the second episode she tells us with a wide smile, how she poisoned her husband the same way and how she enjoyed it. Like, this woman doesn't bluff, she's all in. But she does manipulate her image to the rest of the world.
I like how well Remi learned to act like Jane, but I love even more how every now and then she fails to act like her.
I can't explain how much I love that Rich keeps calling Zapata "What's her name?". I mean, they worked together long enough for him to know her name, and he does but arbitrarily decides to continue "pretending" not to know her name.
There are three things I can not be objective about in this show, and Boston is one of those. Patterson and Rich are the other two things, to no one's surprise. My point here is that every time those three meet, it is a great episode. I love Boston's passive-aggressive comments and Patterson's comebacks. I love his humor and the constant "egos fight" with Patty when we all know that deep down they love each other. I mean, she called him to work on Wizarville. And I love that he calls her Pat-Pat.
I complained before about how bad the camera movements and focus were, and at least in these three episodes, I can see an improvement. The movements are smoother, and there are almost no out-of-focus. I don't know if they practiced more before shooting or if they changed the cameraman, but it works better. I mean, look at the scene with Remi and Boris in the second episode. The camera circled around them and the focus never went out. It seems a little dumb to be happy about it, but compared to the other seasons, it makes a difference.
About the whole situation of Reade and Tasha, here's when I dissociate the most. I mean, I like how everyone is looking out for Reade because they know what it means for him that Tasha left the way she did and I like the way they try to support him too. But my mind is Zapatterson 100%, so every time Patty talks about Tasha in these episodes, my mind works in the background imagining the same situation but with Zapatterson being canon. I can't help it or even control it, it just happens.
But I do like Patty trying to have some dates or casual encounters, but like always, she is never lucky enough. Not even when she's trying to have a one-night encounter. And she's so clumsy about it, almost adorable, and a little embarrassing, how badly she lies to try to hide it from Rich and Weitz.
About Weitz... I previously said I liked the one from seasons 1 and 2, but being honest and rewatching these episodes, I think it was just because of the green power ranger syndrome, that I already talked about. But honestly, he's a great character. He is now here to hinder the investigations, making sure nothing makes him look bad, politically speaking, even if it messed up the cases. But at some point, it became hilarious and likable. Like his enthusiasm in the third episode with the Quantico recruits and his proposal to bring the field to them, it's almost adorable.
And I love how Patty finally confronts him, the whole conversation between them at that tense moment was perfect. Like, she told him what needed to be said.
But the whole third episode is a great one, and I could be talking about it for hours, so I'd better finish this post here 😅
