So Naruto and Sasuke are honestly really amazing characters in the perspective of contrast between each other. They're both characters who've had deeply horrible things happen to each of them, and practically the entire story is exploring their responses to those Horrible things. It's reflected in their backgrounds, their personality, and even their powers are diametrically opposed yet complementary to these themes

Naruto is a man who values peace and forgiveness above all else. It doesn't matter what you did to him personally or to other people, he will forgive you and want to be your friend. He's constantly chasing after Sasuke to drag him back to the leaf despite Sasuke being a nationally wanted criminal because he forgives Sasuke and that should be enough. Orochimaru not only personally attacked him but is the direct cause of hundreds, if not thousands of deaths, usually in excruciating ways, and Naruto forgave him because they're currently working for the leaf. He even called the man who strapped a bomb on a baby him's chest and murdered his parents the "coolest dude ever," as if one noble act at the very tail-end of his life absolves him of every prior sin. And why wouldn't it? Naruto's a very in the moment kind of guy. As long as it leads to peace, he can accept any crime. It's even reflected in his powers. Not only is his power a sentient monster that hates him and killed so many people that he has to redeem and befriend to get the full power set, but it even heals him. Naruto bears no scars from his past, literally or metaphorically.

Ahh I see. So you’re just another one of those juvenile people who adamantly refuse to accept what’s canon, despite the fact that it’s not going to change, regardless of how much they bitch about it. Now I see why these facts just can’t seem to penetrate your skull. You guys seem to have a special talent for refusing to accept the truth.

You see, why should I choose to deny the existence of the core theme of the manga, simply because it may or may not be well written? Regardless of the quality of its execution, it exists, it’s there, and it affects the plot of the story. All I’m doing is accepting and acknowledging what’s there, instead of whining and bitching about something that’s not going to change. So you may wanna consider doing the same instead of wasting your time beating a dead horse.

My reason for accepting the theme of redemption is because it exists, that doesn’t make me retarded. That’s like you calling someone retarded for merely accepting the fact that Chouji and Karui are a canon couple. See how stupid that sounds? Many people say the execution of that couple wasn’t very good seeing as how the first time they were essentially even in the same panel as each other was during chapter 700. However, that doesn’t change the fact that they’re a canon couple, and accepting them as a canon couple doesn’t make anyone retarded. The same is said for accepting the themes of the manga.
