I had been quite believing for some time Naruto would become the new Rikudou Sennin, by getting all bijuus accept him and form another half-Juubi inside of him, but with this chapter, from the Gaara/Shukaku duo, old jinchuuriki’s words, and… well the Naruto thing (but of course he’ll be back to be ok at some point), I think that maybe…

…if it means that Gyuuki, before being absorbed, is separating himself from Bee who would be in the cut tail, so in the end he would still survive with one tail of chakra independently of Gyuuki… 

In this case then, if I’m right, even if Naruto is in bad situation right now, we shouldn’t see the Kurama’s extraction as something totally horrible and see it rather as the opportunity to make Naruto and Kurama finally able to fight side by side when the bijuus will be saved again :) And the more I think about it, the more I tell myself this could very well be one of the aims of this chapter, preparing us to a new era of humans and beasts living and standing together as equals (to take Gaara's words), where jinchuurikis wouldn't be needed anymore...
