I’m an animator/artist myself, and this is very, very sad to hear. I know Japanese Anime studios force their workers to work A LOT of overtime but to a point where someone dies? And news about his death has been kept secret? That’s just something we can’t ignore.

But arguably, Sasuke doesn’t WANT to follow his clan’s traditions. This is the clan that tried to stage a coupe, using his older brother who was only 13 at the time and who strongly believed in Konoha. They were essentially who was responsible for everything that happened with Itachi and Sasuke. Why would you follow the traditions of a clan that did that to you?    

The clan who only decided to stage a coup because of the village repeatedly treating them like shit (like, you know, Tobirama the second Hokage) and blaming them for Kurama’s attack.

Itachi wasn’t “used” he willingly did it because he’s a nationalist who thinks killing his entire fucking family and abusing the shit (physically and psychologically) out of his eight-year-old brother, multiple times, and then willing to use a bird to brainwash him into doing what Itachi wanted, is perfectly okay as long as it’s for the good of his country. People like him are why we have Donald in the office. My Country, Right or Wrong.
