Personality: Narmaeth is a calm individual, rarely losing her temper or showing unbecoming conduct. She is considered wise and is often sought out for advice from both her own family and other noble houses.

She has a mischievous sense of humour and will often send those she has little respect for on wild goose chases. When she is in an arbitrary mood it is almost impossible to get a straight answer out of her. She is especially difficult when asked about her past or her private life.

When angered she is quick with cutting insults yet she is just as quick to calm down. However she is not above holding grudges and is known to continue embarrassing any who anger her years later.

Her knowledge of history and necromancy is masterful and she gladly engages in discussions on these topics. She has published various works on life in Ascalon before its fall, the conflict between the Kurzicks and Luxons, as well as the journals of her ancestor’s journey with the once mortal Kormir through Elona. Since the death of Mordremoth Narmaeth has shown increasing weariness and despondency, often voicing doubt over her past actions and expressing an acute sense of guilt over past actions – although what past actions these may be is unknown.

History: Little is known of Narmaeth’s past. There are no official birth records for a child by the name Narmaeth, nor is the name mentioned in any census records before 1320AE. The Lupa clan claim to have a copy of her birth certificate but no papers have been forthcoming.

She has played a prominent role in the court of Queen Jennah, ensuring her family maintains their prestige and importance in the annals of history. She has played a vital role in aiding the Pact against both Zhaitan and Mordremoth, as well as aiding Kryta against the White Mantle. She has proven a loyal subject to the Queen.

Her favourite pastime at court seems to be frustrating Countess Anise.

True Name: Hera Lupa

Born: 1049 AE

History: Born as the second daughter of a prominent Ascalonian noble to his second wife, Hera enjoyed a charmed life. This was only marred by the tragic deaths of her mother and step mother.

These deaths sparked an interest in necromancy within Hera and she swiftly showed herself to be a savant. It is unknown what exactly happened but either an experiment or a prank resulted in the near death of her younger sister, Nina. Hera disappeared during this time, returning only to claim she had travelled to the mists to beg Grenth for her sister’s life and was successful.

While Hera insisted this is true for the rest of her life, few believed her. Whether or not this was what happened, her sister did indeed recover but would spend the rest of her days blind. Hera herself was not unscathed by this experience, from this point on she would emit a faint glow and have what she can only describe as lucid dreams of a man in a skull mask courting her.

After this incident, the family quickly fell apart. The eldest daughter, an Elementalist named Amilla, travelled to her mother’s homeland, Elona, to train with the Sunspears. The youngest daughter, Nina, was taken to Cantha to train as a Ritualist.

Only Hera remained in Ascalon with her father, continuing her study of necromancy and becoming a devout follower of Grenth. She survived the searing and took part in the events that followed, aiding Prince Rurik in leading the refugees to Kryta and continuing to play an important role for years to come.

Hera speculates that her interactions in the mist primed her for what happened with the Scepter of Orr, whose power somehow altered Hera. From the moment she touched it, she ceased to age and she has received what should be mortal blows only to recover from them.

Her sisters in turn requested her aid in Cantha and Elona, and the three reunited in the Northern Shiverpeaks to deal with the Great Destroyer.

After these events all records of Hera and Nina cease to exist. Officially they retired and died of old age. The truth of the matter is different. Hera, wanting to help her nieces and nephews find a new home, helped them settle in Lion’s Arch and watched over the family until the present day. Nina withdrew into the mists with her daughter, Etalia, who would later resurface in 1327 AE claiming that her mother was missing.
