Hi! I followed some of your azumanaga daioh works ages ago on ff.net... gosh when was that... 2004? 2005? I mostly lurked but I did write god awful azumanaga fanfiction once in a while and always loved your works, and the stuff cartoonlion and anime-rebirth wrote. That was so long ago, idk if you even remember them lmao. Anyway I was feeling nostalgic and hunted you down here like a year ago just to see if you were still kicking and have been quietly following and. I'm so glad to have been turned on to tsukutabe, it's been immensely impactful on me and is now something I hold very close to my heart. I deeply enjoy seeing your posts, thank you for all the ways you've influenced me back since I was like 12 to now.
2006 was when I got into Azu and, therefore, released my fics and art to the masses lol. People have come and gone, I do remember those names, yeah, but I'm still here...being me. Whatever that may mean, based on when folks found me lol
There's a funny Azudai to Tsukutabe pipeline with some of my longest-following fans. I guess it's the slice-of-life-ness and the fact folks who liked my works wanted yuri. Azu was all fandom yuri but Tsukutabe gives us a canon couple! And it has the same vibes as the stuff I put out, I guess? It hits some niiice notes. I saw myself in Nomoto. Even if she had her awakening much later in life, a lot of her backstory and how she fell in love with Kasuga is SO ME. It's nice to have some acespec rep, possibly neurodivergent, too! I hc Nomoto and Kasuga as such, though I feel like Kasuga is supposed to be just not named outright. But I digress
I'm glad you loved my old works and I'm glad you seem to be enjoying what I create now! Let's get hyped for Tsukutabe Vol 6 and the resuming of the story this summer! 🙌🏽

It's been a while comparatively, but AFTER Tsukutabe, Leigh and I got into both versions of Ghosts, though work has made it hard to keep watching. I had to tell Leigh it was okay to move on without me 😅
We've also watched the Great British Baking Show as winding-down stuff.
As for manga? Nah. It's actually harder for me to get into manga, that's why I was surprised at how curious I was to check Tsukutabe out back in 2023. Even in my youth, I was never into manga as much
what are your go-to lunches?
Hot pockets. Fettuccine Alfredo, preferably with chicken and broccoli, if I'm super on a budget, I just make myself some simple meat-and-cheese wraps.
Though finances have been a little rough lately, I like to treat myself to some pad thai once a week, if possible~

What's your first Yuri!
My first, true, "actually within the genre" yuri was Girl Friends by Milk Morinaga, back in...the mid 2010s, I think? Before that, though, I coasted through subtly sapphic things, like Sailor Moon. My first ship was Rei/Usagi (not immediately, but sometime after) watching the SMR Movie and getting into the original version of the 90s anime in middle school (early 00s)

Honestly, Wiki explains it better than I ever could. For me, it was a path I could've taken. My uncles were in the culture in various degrees, so I was surrounded by it. A lot of my fellow, Hispanic classmates also dressed as such and I do love the look.
I ALMOST dressed like one though never went through with the hair and makeup routines. I couldn't, anyway, because there wasn't much to offer for someone suffering from eczema like I was at the time. I had baggy pants, I liked certain shirts that gave off the vibe, albeit quietly. I wanted a plaid shirt and not because of lesbian reasons, it was chola reasons for me, at first 🤣
