He sat at his desk with eyes staring at some paperwork that piled up. He had so much he had to get done, yet his mind was unable to focus. Lack of sleep, nonstop work, and keeping an eye on the inn was becoming more of a nuisance than he cared for. It didn’t help he was still having personal issues. Bothersome, but he would get by. He’s been through worse, after all.
He would stand himself up and walking out the door of the inn to get some fresh air. His eyes were ahead as he wondered just what he would be doing with this small bit of time. There was something he could do about all of this. Hire more help ... yet he wouldn’t. Why? ... He didn’t know. Probably a bit of fear of screwing up bad or something along those lines.
Brown hues glanced to see a green-haired girl playing along with some flowers. He knew sector six was known for the flowers and vegetation, but he didn’t see the amusement in playing with it. What the hell was she up to? Oh well... she seemed innocent enough. Why worry? It was pleasant to see some good around this hellhole. He said nothing to her and made his way.
