First design of Naoli the Cat (2013 Feb.) Second redesign (2013 Aug.) and latest drawing (2015)
Not long after creating Noomi the Cat in 2012 I had an idea of an alternate time counterpart: that’s when I made Naoli the cat. Even though I have drawn plenty of concepts of her earlier, I uploaded one to Deviantart for the first time in early 2013(left) I wanted to make Naoli a rather shy and weak character on the surface. Basically Noomi’s opposite.
Unlike in Noomi’s time, in Naoli’s ‘era’ there were no wars and battles, therefore Naoli grew up as an average teenager who goes to school and lives with her family. As stated in Noomi’s bio, she died in the war and doctors tried to bring her back to life because her skills were needed in the battles. After about 200 years of experimenting- as technology improved- they managed to clone her, that’s how Naoli was born. She was adopted by a doctor couple and raised without Naoli knowing anything about her past.
Originally (in 2012/2013) I wrote the story about her going back in time somehow and help Noomi survive the battle (that’s why I drew those epic settings). I never really fininshed the story, so I decided to let it become a temporary cliffhanger regarding the further story.
