In the early 4000's, human scientists resurrect dinosaurs and grant them increased intelligence with genetic engineering, giving rise to the race of Nanosaurs. Within a few years of this happening, a plague wipes out all of humanity, leaving behind only a small number of these Nanosaurs as the intelligent species on earth.

Nanosaur starts with the Nanosaur Scientists realizing that their limited gene pool has led to inbreeding that threatens to turn them back into primitive dinosaurs, so they send a Nanosaur raptor guy back in time to just before the asteroid hits to recover some eggs with minimal disruption to the timeline. The game plays out from here. You eventually recover enough eggs and transport them back to 4122.

Nanosaur II reveals a force of Nanosaur Rebels who live on other planets and who steal the recovered eggs for their own breeding programme. I don't recall if we ever discuss what the politics of these Nanosaur Rebels are I last played this game on a G3 Mac in primary school.

Mostly 5/4 all the way through this, but there’s also 7/4 for 4 bars from :55 - 1:07

Starting a bit after 1:07 there’s a string note every 2 quarter note beats, making that portion on polymetric-ish, “resets itself” to realign at ~1:16 only once but continues for pretty much the rest.
