Hey, dudes, dudettes and dudles!

I had a random urge to edit Holli with her mother (in the Hollina AUs where she lives) and honestly, I’m shocked it took me so long to do something like this cause Nancy Would was easily one of the first head canons created in any of the Hollina universes, dating all the way back to MxDisney 2017. 

Back then she was portrayed by Aurora, but then it was later changed to Madellaine way after MD2017. In the versions where Nancy lives, Sophie from Anastasia portrays her cause I just flipping adore her and I’ll take any excuse to edit with her. She’s one of the first animated fat characters not to have a single food joke attached to her.

Let’s forget that Vladimir’s character was 70% food jokes... xD

Inspired by this song, I came up with a brand new Hollina stand alone story. What do I mean by stand alone? It’s not a brand new AU like the college or high school AUs; it’s a story of its own with some things similar to the usual Hollina AUs, but with enough differences to not be alike the other AUs.

I’ve already written the entire story board for it last night, so here’s a summary/teaser for the story. If you click Keep Reading down below it’ll include heavy spoilers. Read at your own risk ;)

Holli works as a stripper at her mother’s strip club, Tenderloins. But a new club, and brothel, has opened up only a block away. The owner, Bill Sykes, propositions Holli to become the main star of his club, but she easily turns him down.

Not long after, Holli runs into a sweet, young girl named Lina, the picture of a happy, naive hothouse flower, and starts growing feelings for her. There’s only one problem;

Lina is Sykes’ daughter. And he has no problem using his daughter to force Holli to work for him.

Here’s an excerpt from my upcoming fanfic “Entre Nous”, based on my Hollina debutante AU:

Lady Tremaine sighed in contempt, but reversed her attention back to Lady Holli. “As you may know, she’s the natural daughter of Joseph Korso and his mistress Nancy Would… After his wife rather conveniently passed away, he presented Nancy Would as his new wife with their child having already been birthed. Not only is she a natural child, she’s the result of a vile affair.”

That was too much exposition to take in at once.

Sharing this particular excerpt, mostly because I wanted to both give a bit of backstory for Holli’s character and role in Entre Nous, but also because, well, I like having some self-irony. And re-reading Lady Tremaine’s line here, the day AFTER initially writing it, I realized how much of an exposition line it really was.

But instead of just FIXING that, I decided to stay true to my initial writing and just have some self-irony thrown in at the next paragraph instead x’D

I just tried searching Nancy Would on my blog, and somehow, it seems I had actually never shared that piece of information??? But Sophie has been her casting choice for as long as I can remember 😊

There are a few reasons why;

1, Nancy in a world where she doesn't commit suicide would stop working as a stripper at Tenderloins and would either start a burlesque business elsewhere, or have part of the Tenderloins dedicated to burlesque (this varies from AU to AU) Sophie, to me anyway, looks and acts like a burlesque type of woman and that is 100% meant as a compliment

2, Sophie is the best choice for an older Madellaine, in my opinion anyway.

3, I just genuinely love Sophie 😂 She's a fun character and a little flirtatious, she's got the personality of a surviving Nancy Would ☺

Sophie's personality and backstory varies from AU to AU. In Entre Nous for example, she was the mistress for Holli's dad and... Well, I won't spoil too much here, but her backstory in Entre Nous is less tragic and more scandalous 😉
