The anthology comic Detective Comics 293 was published with a cover date of July 1961. The issue marked the start of the run of Aquaman back up stories. Aquaman took the place of the Roy Raymond stories. The Batman story was a sci-fi story dealing with the extra-demensional species the Gruggs and the Yllans.
