Her hand cradled the bag of tea leaves her mother made. This was how they relaxed. Iris waltzed over to a nearby monk, tapping lightly on the shoulder. “Hello? I’m looking for my friend, Kung Qiu, I usually call her KQ. Have you seen her?”

“Well, can an old friend get a hug at least?”

          To say he wasn’t n e r v o u s about letting his two year old ice skate for the first time is a bit of an understatement. But he t r u s t e d Qiu, she was the one who taught him how to skate and she’d n e v e r put Fey’s life in danger. It didn’t help that her skates were tiny and adorable and he a l m o s t cried when he’d found them in the sporting goods store. Her shoes were finally laced (not so much so that they hurt but they were definitely secure) and he’d tied the ends into a bow before asking if she was ready, a question she answered with an excited ‘Yes!’ before reaching out to Danny to help her off the bench as her small legs had dangled off the ground.
