'Cause I'm Dancing in a Field of Dandelions
Day 1: Flowers
Genre: Fluff
If Natsu were to pick a flower that summed up Lisanna into one perfect box…it’d be dandelions.
Lisanna…with her bright smile…almost shining white hair…was an angel.
Dandelions were beautiful flowers, perfect for Lisanna, that were almost even more beautiful in what they symbolize.
In Natsu’s opinion, dandelions meant hope.
A hope for something better or hope for a wish to become reality.
Lisanna had always given Natsu hope for a brighter future…he could imagine an even greater one with her.
The way she grins when she catches sight of him, walking towards him with a pep in her step…when she gets too into her stories and starts flailing her arms around wildly…or when she’s embarrassed and looks anywhere but him.
It was those things…that made Natsu’s heart jump into his throat, pumping more than it ever could with any workout.
She made him feel…scared, nervous, yet joyful all at once.
It was kinda like…he got a little taste for her…and now? He needed more of her…like an addiction.
Natsu sat down at the bar where Lisanna was behind the counter, “Helping Mira out again?”
Her blue eyes flickered with delight upon meeting his as her lips twisted up into a content smile.
The pink-haired teenager wonders if she knows how gorgeous she was.
“Yup!” she nodded, “It was getting kinda busy…I figured I’d help out. Do you want your usual, Natsu?”
Lisanna beamed at him as she went to get his fire whiskey and smoked chicken.
Natsu was never picky about what he got to eat, he loved food, but fire whiskey was just something to behold.
Especially the ones at the guild.
As she laid his meal down in front of him, Natsu doesn’t know what made him say it…
Was it a burst of confidence, an accident, or had he just spaced off and his mouth moved on its own?
Natsu honestly didn’t know, but what he did know…
…was that whatever happened now was completely up to her.
Change was difficult for Natsu to accept…whatever Lisanna said next would shape their relationship because Natsu doubted he could ever gather enough confidence to say anything like that again.
Now that he thought about it…he sorta wished he had a dandelion seed to blow on for luck.
Lisanna looked up with surprise, multiple emotions flashing through her face that Natsu couldn’t place and that made him light up with nerves.
You could throw him on a death trap…a train five times and that’s how he felt right now.
“I…thank you…” Lisanna responded, cheeks a light pink as she looked…what Natsu could only describe as hopeful, “Where…is this coming from?”
…Where IS this coming from? He wasn’t sure.
He did know how it started though…and it was…
