@nuptia. it’s an ironic use of ‘nuptial’, as that word is usually followed by ‘bliss’. as we know by my constant ranting and shitposting, wren did not, in fact, find nuptial bliss.

gonzo eyed the fairy girl carefully, unwilling to believe her. harry had been adamant that allie had meant to stay on the ship, he had gone as far as to lock her in the captains quarters to prove it but gonzo knew better than anyone that once someone chose to do something, they would find a way to do it. usually poorly. that was why he had gone with her. it was just unlucky that the bogs boys had decided that on the same day that allie would be browsing the markets, they would be hunting their next prey.    gonzo had dispatched the bogs easily enough, and had even made sure not to KILL any of them ( uma had explicitly told them that with auradon’s eye on the isle that killing had to be an absolute last resort ), but he hadn’t exactly been non-violent either.

gonzo pinched his lips together uncertainly as he watched her. she looked a little  .  .  .  green. awkwardly, he reached out as if to pat her on the back but at the last second seemed to decide against it and instead let his hand drop back to his side.
