I’ve discovered that my taste in music is not conducive towards these kinds of asks but I tried

I’ve used this before, but Valley of the Queens by Ayreon is a pretty good depiction of Ishtar’s mental state during her last appearance - depressed, broken and verging towards the suicidal. Curse My Name by Blind Guardian can relate to Sanaki’s relationship with the people, particularly post-Radiant Dawn when she has to break the news about Ashera and start tearing down the Church (although NGL it also fits Arvis really well if anyone’s interested in that):

* What do they think of creation? Do they believe in evolution or do they believe in God? What is their religion like? [Tellius Characters]

All of them believe in their religions even before the events of Radiant Dawn show that not only were they right to, but did so in a very direct way.

For Titania and Mist, it was never really a major part of their lives until the wars started - and then it was more of a literal thing than a spiritual one. Their religious lives mostly consisted of talking to Rhys and running into other priests while they were out and about. Also, Titania occasionally found it useful to have something to blaspheme. Following the resolution of RD’s plot, their lives mostly remained unchanged.

For the Begnion characters, it was a much bigger part of their lives, even Mia. Mia grew up with the lower class services, attending the biweekly mass with her parents and even well into her adulthood muttering a small prayer of thanks under her breath after some battles. She would kick most of these habits once the truth was revealed following the end of RD, shrugging it off and becoming the closest thing to an agnostic that could exist in a setting where they still met Gods.

Tanith and Sanaki, well…

Tanith was never a major believer, but had to put up the pretense - including going to the daily services that the Holy Guard were required to undergo when not in the field. Since Begnion is a theocracy, Sanaki ended up spending an absurd amount of time learning and engaging in religious practices, almost all of her time that was not spent learning to govern. She also had a very deep-seated and genuine belief in the religion up until around a year after Path of Radiance, when her not hearing Ashera’s voice started to become a more prevalent problem. The resolution of RD and the reveal of exactly how corrupt the Senate and its associated church could be broke Sanaki’s belief, and while she acknowledges the existence of Asheraune as a unified Goddess she spends most of her remaining reign slowly dismantling the organized Ashera religion and establishing a true separation of church and state. As far as her personal religious life goes, it mostly stops existing almost immediately after Radiant Dawn.

“Wh… what?

 “Lyon.” Command in tone, but rather also with gentleness. He approaches his son, his only love one remaining. There is compassion in his smile as he faces his son. 

 “Would you care for tea. A break from your studies perhaps?”

                         Lyon mainly remains quiet in a mix of bewilderment and surprise.  he would think after what he’s done no one would ever speak to him so fondly, and yet this stranger…  who looks so suspiciously like Valter…  pulls him into an embrace.

                         he flinches, but doesn’t pull away, nor does he reciprocate.  instead he merely waits for the other to release him, before taking a step back and straightening his robes.

❝ erm…  thank you, Sir… ❞  he searches the other’s face for some kind of sign.  he looks so remarkably like Valter…  it’s eerie.  Lyon’s guard rises instantly.  ❝ i appreciate the support…  uhm.  sorry, i don’t think we’ve been properly acquainted… you… have me at a disadvantage. ❞

For a second, Walter’s blood ran cold and he withdrew, fearing that he’d mistaken another for his prince yet again. But, no. This was most assuredly HIS prince -- down to the traditional jewelry and fine robes. So why was he looking at him with such confusion and alarm?

“Erm... S... Surely you muse recognize me, s-sire?” he asked, grinning nervously. “It’s me... The, ah, th-the Opalite? One of your f... father’s Imperial Generals? I even assisted you with your study o... of the magical arts...”
