So, Nylas's N1 is supposed to be this awesome, customizable, user-driven, open-source email client; easy-to-use and just as easy to create and implement plug-ins for... so, um, why the community plug-in list so lacking?
I can think of a couple of reasons for this. 1) Maybe the program is just that awesome no one feels the need to create any plugins. 2) There are plugins out there, they just aren't listed in the library and I need to do some more detailed searching. 3) The base software is so bad no one's bothered keeping it long enough to create a plugin. 4) Creating a plugin is way harder than they make it out to be and folks are lazy when stuff is good enough.
I just downloaded N1 and I'll installing it as soon as I hit post. I'm hoping it's just that good; however, half the reason I decided to us it was so that I could play with creating a plugin (they really do make it look simple enough). But I'll find out soon enough the reason for the lack.
