Life has been hectic the last few weeks. I started a teaching job yesterday, and it seems I’m going to take at least a month to catch up to myself mentally. During this time, though, I’ve been binging Sacha Black’s “Rebel Author Podcast” since I am VERY behind (half hour commutes are great times for podcasts!) and today I hit episode 20 on how to build characters. It’s been talking a lot about verbs and finding a character’s “verb” as well as how to find your own. After an odd experience I will not be diving into here, I can safely say I found my word: provoke. Provoking emotions from others, provoking thoughts in the classroom, provoking fights to gain control, my entire being screams to provoke with every fiber. And I think it’s so interesting how accurate this podcast has been, and how it creates a shift in view and perspective to see things from a new light of verbs and actions and what my being screams to do. So I wanted to share, and if you’ve listened to this specific podcast episode, drop your verb below, I’m so curious to know what you all would think. ~ #provokethought #rebelauthorpodcast #sachablack #myverb #writersofinstagram #amwritingslowly #writer https://www.instagram.com/p/CE8IG6ipwDc/?igshid=17u4x11hg1rky
