Fever of Light Series (The Old Guard)
Fever of Light by mytimehaspassed
He tells him his name, breathless, his chapped lips in the crook of Nicoloâs dirty neck, tongue between his bloody teeth. Nicolo feels the dry, humid air that coasts achingly slow over his wounds, the sting and bite of it, the sting and bite of this manâs mouth murmuring words Nicolo doesnât know into Nicoloâs skin, so close itâs almost obscene, here on the battlefield where the sun stains everything gold and red, red and gold, and the man is saying his name again, bitten out over the pain of Nicoloâs arming sword sliding smooth between two of his ribs, and Nicolo says nothing as he feels the punch of his own death, as the man smiles at him wolfishly, returning the favor.
Yusuf, he says, as he kills him.
Again.
All Our Deeds Sure Find Their Ways by mytimehaspassed
They stay in twin boarding houses on opposite sides of the Wall, leading Republikfluct missions through Checkpoint Charlie, well before Reaganâs speech at Brandenburg Gate. Nicky and Joe choose a room with a view of the KurfĂźrstendamm CafĂŠ Kranzler â âJust so we can keep up with the latest kaffeeklatsch,â Joe says, perfect accent, winking at Nicky as he turns away from the scope of his M40 â and they sleep during the day and work at night, and they donât see Andy and Booker for days, for months, dead dropping false papers and typewritten letters into mailboxes, hoping that everything goes to plan.
So...here are two things I wrote for The Old Guard. And (like Netflix) there are definitely plans for more :)
