How does 24 hours, a year or two, or even a couple months debate that you are ready for the “adult world”? Truth is it doesn’t. So why do your parents say you can do what you want when your 18? Because in the eyes of the law you can fend for yourself? No that isn’t the case there are plenty of newly turned “adults” that continue to live with their parents until about their mid twenties nowadays. Why? because a number doesn’t decide when your ready. People develop differently and different people can handle different scenarios. So yes in my personal opinion a 16 or 17 year old who has their shit together can do these things. A 17 year old boy or girl who pays for their own bills already and contributes at home just to be helpful obviously has a clear mind. So you know what 18 is just a number. It is just in my mind a guideline. Everything can be pushed so much there isn’t just black and white there are spectrum’s in-between.
