Came home today and had to find out through facebook that one of my sister's best friends has End Stage Renal Disease. Over a year ago she went to the hospital thinking she caught pneumonia but it turns out both her kidneys had failed. I haven't seen her in years but I grew up with her. My sister, her and a couple other friends became my idols growing up. She has such a genuine and charismatic personality and it was such a shock to hear about it. She was like an older sister to me. Situations like these always make me feel like I need to value the things in life more. It seems like I will always feel this way because these kinds of terrible news have been non stop lately.
