Today, my mother entered my room holding a plastic box. I had just woken up, it was already 5pm but yea, and in said box was a tiny little mouse.

Apparenty, she saw it in our garden turning in circles and was concerned that our cats would eat it. Our cats, Stella, Luna, and Flummi, are outside a lot and have killed a lot of mice before, so she thought that perhaps one of them had internal punctured one of its organs. So she brought it inside for me to look after. Yeah. She brought me a maybe dying animal to take care of.

I put some pellets and hay inside to give it some ground and a little wooden hut. It has a little thingy that has some water and I put some of my rat food inside as well. Yes I have rat food and stuff because I have rats. I have 3 females, Circe, Hellena, and Charybdis that are about 2 and a half years old now.

The mouse has since then recovered and is eating and drinking calmly. It is no longer running in circles and has slept a total of 4 hours. That apperantly fixed whatever neurological issue it had that made it spin.

She is currently eating next to me in her box, on my desk. I think she may be a young mouse that recently left her nest because she is very small, but I might be wrong. We will keep her till tomorrow and then we will see if we can let her out. If not, I guess I have to get her a cage and a friend or two/hj. I named her Elsa after the sticker on the box.

Update: Elsa was released and was healthy at the point of release!
