Anyone else have this happen? Front swatch is knit in the round, back swatch is knit flat. Same yarn, same needles, completely different 4x4 gauge: 18 stitches, 29 rows for the knit-flat swatch; 19.5 stitches and 30 rows for the in-the-round one after washing and laying down flat to dry.
The sweater I'm planning to knit starts flat and is then joined to knit in the round after the shoulders. I'm thinking to start with a smaller needle size, then, and switch to the one given in the pattern after joining in the round - thoughts?
having too much fun creating lately 🧶🎨
So I’m trying out my first in-the-round project. Honestly it’s not that hard, but good lord is it a lot of needles lol.
Kickin’ February off with a pair of socks for a friend’s daughter.
