Your dream job: I don't know yet... I only know I want to study English in college, but what I'm going to do with it later... Who knows?

What would you do if you were standing in the street and a huge meteor was coming right at you? That depends... Is the meteor really close or not? If it's not, I'd try to run, but if it is, I don't know... I'd probably just be smashed by it and no one would care :D

The first time she brought up the subject of children, he laughed.  He laughed so hard in fact that Caroline didn’t speak to him for a week.  The idea of someone like him, who had been oh so affectionately called the devil or evil incarnate on many different occasions, raising a child was laughable, but Caroline did not seem to think so.  He admired that about her.  Her ability to look at him and still see something good buried deep in his black, unbeating heart, although whether that good actually existed or not was debatable, but she seemed to think so. 

 The second, third, and fourth times she brought it up, Klaus said no, putting his foot down.  She had gone as far as to make him a list of all the reasons it was a good idea, her infamous lists had become the death of him.  Any time she wanted something she made an endless list of all the reasons they should do it or he should give into her, often completed with pre-prepared arguments for all of his objections, making it nearly impossible for him to say no.   Those lists were the reason they still lived in Mystic Falls instead of one of the more glamorous and cultural cities in the world, the reason he now wore a slim, silver band on his left hand, and the reason he often found himself standing outside the house at three o’clock in the morning waiting for the dog she insisted on getting to relieve himself.  Being a father was a notion Klaus had set aside over a thousand years ago.  It did not fit into his plans for building his hybrid reserves; it did not allow for him to whisk Caroline away at a moment’s notice.  It didn’t allow for a lot of things and those simply were not things he was willing to give up.  She was determined though and that tenacity that had attracted him to her in the first place was beginning to be his undoing.  She pushed and pulled; prodded and not-so-subtly hinted every day, refusing to let the issue go, volunteering to babysit Elena’s son for the afternoon or keep Bonnie’s daughter for the weekend.  He would usually find an excuse to vacate the mansion for the afternoon or weekend, but he had to admit that Caroline was made for motherhood.  It suited her.  She had the energy to keep up with even the most boisterous child and endless ideas to keep him or her entertained for hours on end.  He was beginning to feel guilty for taking that option away from her.  Guilt was not an emotion he was used to in his nearly fifteen hundred years, but one Caroline was able to stir in him with a single look.  That was ultimately why the fifth time she brought up the subject, she didn’t have to.

 “I think I’m okay with it,” Caroline said one evening as the couple laid in bed, bringing Klaus’s eyes up from the book he’d been reading, or rereading rather. He was used to this by now.  Caroline often began conversations with vague statements that forced him to ask her what in the world she was talking about, but she seemed to beat him to the punch this time.  “I think I’m okay with not being a mom.   I’ve been a vampire for almost ten years now and I think it’s a part of my humanity I just need to let go of.”

 “Caroline..”

 “No,” she stopped him, “I’m not trying to guilt you into it.  I think it’s time to give up it up.  I’m a vampire and it’s just a silly human pipe dream.”  He thought about speaking up again, but decided in this case actions were going to speak far louder than words.   Reaching into the bedside table, he pulled out a manila envelope, placing it in her lap.  “What’s this?” She asked, placing a hand on top of.

 “It’s a list of adoption agencies I’ve already compelled to put us on the list.  As far as they’re concerned , everything is in order for an adoption,” he said, looking back down at the book, attempting to keep the smirk from his face as he felt her eyes boring into him. 

 Caroline’s speechlessness never lasted long and he found her arms around him suddenly, startling the mutt lying at the end of their bed.  “We’re doing this, you are really okay with this?” she asked one more time to assure herself as she pressed her lips to his cheek. 

 “It’s either this or listening to you sigh like you do every time you see a child for the rest of all eternity,” he said with a small chuckle as he watched her pull back enough to look up at him.  “If you want this badly enough to not let it go for five years, we can do it, but you need to know I’m not going to change. It’s been eight years now, Caroline, and you should know by now that I’m set in my ways.  I’m going to be bad at this,” he warned her, his hand cupping the side of her face.  She needed to know going in that this was not going to be his forte.
