*Snort laughs* So HeRe's a funny story, ladies, gents, and enbies. This morning I found a brand stencil in Dad's garage for marking his tools. Not having drank all my coffee I thought it was grandpa's brand, so I greedily snatched it up and slapped that puppy on my notebook... After the deed was done I realized that Grandpa's brand is two Js that form a lower case q. Not... THAT! (Left) So in the evening I take it to Mom and say "Y'all got the brand wrong." "No we didn't." "Yuh-huh!" "Nuh-uh. That's your father and I's brand. It's a sledding J. Turn it upside down!" It is literally the letter J riding a bob sled... Oof. So I went back and did Grandpa's two strike brand on my cover with a J stencil.😂 (Right) Somehow it's harder to know if you've placed it right when the thing you're branding isn't trying to kick you!
