Q: Tell me a book you think more people need to read! I have so many! Vengeance Road by @heyerin is just one of them. I LOVE this book so much, and my dad does too. It's a brilliant, fast paced YA western. I still remember the day I started it. I had an eARC from Netgalley and decided to start it in a lecture break at uni. The lecture started as soon as I finished the first chapter, right when Kate (the main character) shot an outlaw in an outhouse. I was so frustrated I couldn't keep reading! Needless to say, I binged it as soon as I got home. P.S. Did you see that I'm bringing back my book spotlights as reels? Book spotlights were a feature I used to post to bring more attention to underrated faves and backlist books I love. I had to stop posting them because of time, but am excited to bring them back and hope I can inspire at least a few people to give these less popular books a go. 📖 Book Review: Hold Back the Tide by Melinda Salisbury YA historical fantasy thriller. Standalone Swipe for my full thoughts, but TLDR; This book was SO GOOD. It started slow, but built to a suspenseful and creepy tale. Loved the setting and wanted more of the characters. I enjoyed it immensely (even though the ending HURT). ℚ𝕆𝕋𝔻: Do you have a favorite animal? What is it? ⁣ ⁣ I have two favorites that I can’t choose between . . . sloths 🦥 and elephants 🐘! Owls🦉are also up there! ⁣ ⁣ Beasts of Prey features some of the coolest (and freakiest) magical beasts and animals! I read this awesome book last week and I absolutely loved it. It was a bit slow to start, but once it got going I could not put it down! The cliffhanger ending was totally epic and I can’t wait to find out what happens next. ⁣ ⁣ My favorite part was definitely the imagery and the depictions of all the beasts! I can’t wait to see how they look on screen in the Netflix adaptation! I do have one complaint though … why is it always spiders!! Warning to all arachnophobes, there is a horrible sequence involving spiders that I had to skim through.
