A year ago, I made my first mark in Hollywood. It won’t be my last. My intention is to get in the door, and take it off by the hinges. They tell us there’s only room for one of us at a time. I think that’s bullshit. And everyday of my career, I will aim to open more doors for people who do and don’t look like me and even make some new ones. I am so proud of being a filmmaker. I’m so proud of what I’ve accomplished far. I’m even prouder that at 40, I can say truly and fully, that I’m starting my life again, in the direction of my dreams. Just my dreams.
