Anyway! Never fear, anon - I have not one but TWO active drafts featuring Heather in my docs right now! 🎉

The first one is a post-Darkside Chronicles oneshot that will give readers a good idea of what Leon and Heather’s dynamic looks like leading into RE4. This one will be short and sweet, just some tender loving care for our favorite boy after coming home from South America 🥰 I plan to finish and release it once I’m done whumping Leon to hell and back in Release Switch lol - a nice little dessert. This will also serve as a jumping-off point for the multi-chapter post-RE4 fic I have planned (along with Half Measures)

Hello again all you lovely people of Tumblr, specifically those of you following my fic Release Switch, sequel to @silvercap’s Kill Switch

Here’s an accurate summary of how things are going right now:

Yeah so, when I originally started this fic, my plan was for 2 chapters of Hunnigan’s POV and then a sort of epilogue chapter from Leon’s POV.

But then Hunnigan’s section ran away from me a bit so it became 3 chapters of Hunnigan’s POV, 1 chapter of Leon’s.

Last week when I started writing chapter 4, I came up with more ideas for Leon’s section so I upped the chapter count to 5 (3 Hunnigan, 2 Leon)

And now as I’m wrapping up chapter 4, I am somehow barely even 1/3 of the way through the (extremely whump-heavy) content I planned for Leon’s POV so uh, yeah… we might be looking at a whopping 6 chapters, equal parts Hunnigan’s POV vs. Leon’s 🥴

He'd gotten away from the gilded cage that was Vos and made it to lower Altihex to start a new, scientifically minded life in the titan spaceport city of CAE-Ignatius. Never in Starscream's life would he imagine that the titan would take an interest in him as well.

How is chapter 3 going, you ask? Well, something like this…

Uhhhhh yeah fun fact about me, I studied genetics for a little while and now I somehow have a career in the tech industry! So I have a fair understanding of the basics of how Leon’s kill switch would work in theory, but therein lies the problem: I know enough to understand all of this thing’s limitations.

And we can’t have those limitations! We simply can’t! Or this whole story can’t happen! 😭 So what’ve I been doing? Writing an entire chapter where I bullshit my way around the limitations in truly spectacular fashion.
