I did mention it briefly only. I loved Episode 25, so at the time I didn’t want to complain. 

No, you are not wrong, that panel exists. 

And even though it’s a teeny Bakugou, his facial expression is clear enough to see that he’s looking at Shouto with compassion / concern. 

It was kind of strange, because otherwise BONES copied almost every other reaction panel by panel. Maybe they missed it - because it’s a smol!Bakugou and they didn’t have their glasses on or something. 

Or maybe they did it on purpose as a lead-up to the hamfisted anime-only ending, where Deku - instead of giving a well-deserved hug to his bff, who just watched his dad almost die on national television - instead pivots back to his rivalry with Bakugou. Because even the quintessential Todoroki family episode cannot end being about, you know, Todoroki and one of the most emotionally resonating panels Horikoshi ever made. 

They have to cut away and make it BakuDeku. One minute Deku is like, oh, yay Todoroki, I’m so relieved for you... 

And, the next moment he’s looking away in the middle of an emotional scene, like yeah, ok I don’t care about Todoroki crying. Let’s talk about who will carry All Might’s will...

Let’s have MEANINGFUL LOOKS at Bakugou. In case the audience has forgotten who is the REALLY IMPORTANT one here. 

And, no I don’t hate BKDK, I do like them, but I think they get enough focus so that BONES doesn’t need to keep hamming things like this. And these kind of things honestly make me like them less. 

I think pretty much every anime-only moment in S4 was either meh, or downright infuriating. And I really hated how much they chopped all the subtle development Bakugou’s and Todoroki’s friendship got in the manga, just to play them for laughs.
