SO, my girlfriend knows how I am about reptiles and snakes (and well, just wildlife in general) and has listened to countless, and very emotional, rants concerning how essential snakes are to the environment and how they are just generally big scaley babies who want to do their own thing.
She also knows how badly I want to get a snake someday, but that's beside the point.
But she knows how the coming hotter months have me scared for the wild noodle friends.
She's never really handled snakes before and is a bit unsettled by the idea of doing it willingly, but she has me in literal tears right now. Because, despite that, she just called me in sincere panic over a large black rat snake in her neighbor's yard.
Basically, she found out that they intended to kill it and called to ask me 'How do you go about safely handling and removing this snake because I don't want them to kill it and I don't want to hurt it."
And I'm just. Emotional right now. Best girlfriend. A literal goddess who cares so much and is so willing to do a good thing for a noodle friend.
