(No clue if I've shown it off, but here's my portal base for Ickjamatew Galaxy. I basically never go there and forgot there were a lot of flower dogs there.

There's a plant dog farm there too, though it's turned off at the moment.

The blue pine/fir trees are actually placed by me. I think I did a good job at making them seem natural. I tried scanning them when I first got back to this base. So it fooled me at least.

Besides the fireplace, it was empty before the renovation. It's small, but it's a nice little portal base now. Now to probably never visit it again-

feel free to change the color of the blood if needed!!

(This weekend's community mission is one of my favorites, build an outpost! I'd hoped to try out some building ideas for a scrapyard but couldn't find a good spot for one. So I just activated some maps and chose a neat-looking area. Also this ridiculous Vy'keen decided the ramp leading to my brand new base was the perfect place to park. Very amusing tbh.

My favorite part of the build are the windows. The autophage have terrible window parts so I've been on a side quest to discover better ways to do windows with those parts. This time I tried using the powered doors as "shutters" and it's a fun little effect!

The actual window panes are the cuboid windows parts applied to arches. You have to enter free build and line them up just right. They're a pain to place and tend to disappear randomly when working on the base. When they work, it's probably my favorite way of adding windows to builds now.

Sudzerbal Portal Base

(Aka flower dog planet! Once I saw @localsloth's post about this planet, I knew I'd be moving my portal base for Sudzerbal there. Not only is it a capped/fungal world but it also has a lot of flower dogs. The actual base itself is fairly simple. I just wanted a lookout tower for some nice views and for the base to not get in the way of the portal.

If you're ever in the neighborhood, feel free to look around. The view from the tower is nice and there's often rainbows. There's also a small garden with some wonder projectors of the local flower dogs. The one in the middle is actually the first plantdog I found. I felt it was a fitting animal to add.)
