The First Snowfall StartersĀ
[[Thank you for sending one!! And hi! :D]]
ā to throw a snowball at my muse
As pretty as the view from the roof of the Tower was, sometimes Wildfire preferred to be closer to the water. Its sounds were better heard here, and there was something calming about it, as he sat on one of the stones at the edge of the Tower-island, looking out onto the water and being more or less lost in thoughts.
That was, until something hit his back softly. It took him a moment to really react, at first his mind assuming the worst but then he telling himself (mentally) that it wasnāt a real hit and they were at the Tower, so surely nothing like that was up, and then he turned around, one arm twisting to feel the back of his cloak where the āsomethingā had hit, before he made eye contact with Beast Boy.
Since the changeling was already holding another snowball ready, it wasnāt hard to finally understand the situation, but for just another second or so, Wildfire still hesitated.
Starfire had introduced him to this thing, a snowball fight, but when she had suggested to also try it with him, Wildfire had refused. He just wasnāt for fighting, even if it was āmerelyā with snow. He wanted to form bonds with Starfireās friends, though, and ... and there wasnāt much harm that a bit of snow could cause, right?
Nodding more to himself than to Beast Boy, Wildfire removed his hood, smiled and got to a standing all in the same moment, and did his best to form a ball of the snow he had grabbed before getting up. His focus went to the snow in his hands, of course, and clearly he took too long with it for another soft hit met with his arm, and he realized that he needed his focus elsewhere. He managed to avoid the next ball, and then āthrewā his own in response, though maybe dropping it would be more the right word, for he threw much too weakly and the ball didnāt even get close to reaching his opponent.
Oh. Maybe he should have agreed to trying it with Starfire before, after all.
