{➹} – ARROW HAD OPENED his mouth to protest but something seemed to take the words right out of him, and he just sighed instead. If this version of the rabbit was anything like his own he knew arguing would result in nothing, and truthfully she might have been one of the best people to help him.

She was, at least in his mind, a bit of an expert on parental matters.

     Baking within the Rabbit household? It was far from a rare occasion. But lately, if you asked the child for her opinion? She and her mother had been doing it an awful lot as of late. Not that she was complaining! Far be it from her to discard the opportunity to craft some cookies for her and her loved ones, but... With the frequent baking, they had been having guests over quite a number of times, too.

     The same set of guests. The Chaotix. Once again, you wouldn't catch her complaining about the circumstances. It was just an innocent coincidence that the little girl had noticed.

     Yes, a simple coincidence that puts a smile on her face, attention keeping to its work as idle chatter reached out to her mother. "It's awful kind of the Chaotix to always make time to come over, isn't it? They often seem so busy, but they're still so quick to rush over here whenever the invitation is offered! Is... that why we're making some of Vector's favorite cookies again?"

it was a little later than she was expecting but the pink hedgehog still smiled gratefully at the rabbit. she had utterly missed the fact the other seemed somewhat familiar with her, and had taken her only as a friendly and helpful face. which was the main reason amy thought nothing of chuckling at the question.

"Hey there yourself. If I'm not training, I'll take the time to relax somewhere peaceful with good scenery and just lie back to take it all in."

⸺ ... Great, he thought he was alone. It was one of those... off days for him; one of those rare days where everything felt like it was crushing in. It felt hard to breathe, hard to think and emotions tore at the seams. A whirlwind of a tornado clouded his mind of emotions he left buried deep in his heart.

He tried to quickly wipe at his eyes and face, hoping the stranger hadn't seen him cry; a weak emotion he prevents at any cost. He didn't have it in him for his typical behavior, just sounding defeated in the end.

"...I think you got the wrong guy, sorry."

His ears perked at the shuffling of a picnic basket just at the edge of his peripheral vision and he noticed and smelled the sweet scent of the cupcake. It's been.. a while since he's had anything sweet. Or even someone older offering him a hand. He looked small compared to her, but her unfounded kindness stirred something inside his core where a war waged.

"Goodness me! Are you okay? That was close..."

"Woah, thanks. Didnt really see that crack in the ground there. Thanks." he smiled standing straight up. "You're Vanilla right?" he asks regonizing the rabbit. It was weird that he was about her age, and she had a child, but there she was. "Ive heard a lot about you, it's nice to meet you!"
