You’re welcome, by the way.”                   Dean pointed at his injured shoulder, looking up at the blonde as he sat on a table on which he was patching himself up. She wouldn’t be the first who claimed to have everything under control, but now they were trapped in a cabin, surrounded by a handful of bloodsuckers. Great.

                 “Do I look like someone who just turns around and leaves?” The vampire snarled, staring at the other. Because of what Francis had seen through the decades, what he had been through himself turned him into the being he was today. A goodly apple rotten at the heart; there had been a time where he deeply loved, cared and this ended when his wife was slaughtered by vampires while he was left to die, suffocating on his own blood. But he didn’t die, he somehow survived, only to be cursed to watch his daughter grow and die when she was blessed with a child of her own. This child, his grandchild, was all he had left. With turning her and locking her away, he thought to protect her from any arm and to assure he would never be alone. Anyone who thought differently he would decapitate. “You know I’m a vampire like you are. You know I can smell her.”

“Are we even gonna talk about what the fuck are you eating?” Roman queasily remarked, somehow lost appetite for his burger. “I know knocked up cravings are fucking weird, but I gotta say, I did not expect that.”
