Getting dragged into the Tugs fandom has made me remember poor MV Royal Iris- and now I’m having big feelings about an abandoned ferry rotting on the river Thames again-
So I drew her-
For reference Royal Iris was a semi popular ferry boat, built in 1950, she’d work along the river Mersey, and at some point hosted a show aboard by the Beatles-
She’d gain the nickname the ‘fish and chip boat’ because as you guessed it she served them aboard- I can’t remember much else on her but she’s currently moored along the Thames and had been left to rot. No literally her hull has con-caved in and she floods at high tide :(
