I can no longer deny the weather. Summer is over and the storm is rising. The clouds have been watching us from afar waiting for their chance to rain on our parade trying to wash our love away. We could hide under the umbrella of more lies and secrets that we told on many yesterdays. But today, I'm faced with the visage of reason, she looks at me judgement as my heart has committed treason. So I'm leaving, but I take with me the memories of when the sun would shine for hours, running light through our disappointments- Illuminating the corners of my heart where cob webs have found homage. You'd run fingers through the strands reminding me that the spiders of society have many eyes so if we're not careful they will see my weaknesses and use their dirty long legs to trample on my dreams. I'm leaving, I'll remember the times we danced to the sound fantasies, when we dined with fairy tales until we made their stories our own. But it's time I headed home, for a new start. I'll remember everything you taught me, especially how you managed to mend a broken heart.
