I Miss You
He missed his mum, of course. And his brother, and Benz, and Mhee, and all his other friends too. But he missed Mawin in a way that made his chest tighten after a long day out, that made an all-too familiar feeling prickle at the back of his eyes when he least expected it. Or Err's musings on missing home, and missing Mawin.

After watching Ticket to Heaven I had to relax and laugh, and what better way to do so then to rewatch MuTeLuv: Diva Deva Mata!
I adore this part of the MuTeLuv series.
Pun Muangthai, hear the sound of my voice in your head. I hope that you sleep in a pile of diamonds and gold. Always.
Casting Lego, Fluke, Yacht and Neo as the leads was, one of the best, if not the best, casting decisions GMM has ever made. (I was, quite frankly speaking, SHOCKED when I saw that GMM produced it)
Facts about Pun that are just so asgdjfirj, I love himmmm!
🥀 Bro is like, young as shit, yet deeply respected, especially in the thai queer indie film community.
🥀Long before he did MuTeLuv, Puns independent and university film catalog was deeply rooted in queer storytelling.
He directed Maybe This Time (which specifically focused on the complex dynamics of a lesbian couple's relationship across different eras) and The Lookmai Project (a dedicated creative work produced for Transgender Day of Remembrance).
When Diva Deva Mata aired, Pun shared behind the scenes casting notes and insights that showed a deep, culturally fluid familiarity with thai queer subcultures!
He openly discussed writing Ingky's character with the vision of her becoming ✨️the next Poy Treechada✨️ (Thailand's most iconic transgender beauty queen) and praised Neo for his dedication to practicing specific mannerisms respectably to capture the essence of a kathoey character without resorting to mockery.
The one thing I always do when watching a new show, I tick a mental box: check, new actor/actress unlocked. ✔
Idk how I've never seen gifs of 'MuTeLuv Hello, is this luck?' before, but Janhae and Jingjing gave such an intresting performance in that. Get ready for another too long post about all my thoughts after watching it.
I felt so sorry for Na. Girlie was having a nervous breakdown so severe she burned her entire life to the ground with special little witchy ceremonies. Sounds like a mental health crisis that started with the phone number obsession, which got further aggravated by an identity crisis after sleeping with Leemhai, finally getting together with her crush whom which immediately love bombs her. Sounds like a recipe for disaster.
I was kinda glad she had the car accident, it gave her a moment of pause to finally get her shit together and get her life back in order.
I feel like the message they tried to convey, that it's not all luck but your state of mind and your actions that truly dictate how your life looks, was successfully passed and that Na finally realized that herself. It's so powerful that they showed how in merely 6 months she completely turned her life around and managed to get inner peace. It shows that no matter how bad things are in the moment, it can always get better.
Another point that I liked is the comparison that they always did between Nine and Leemhai in how they made Na feel. Nine made her feel nervous which reminds me of the Halsey lyric "it's funny how, the warning signs can feel like they're butterflies". I don't mean that he's a bad person, I mean that he's not for her, she clearly doesn't feel comfortable with how he shows affection.
On the other hand you've got Leemhai, she's so so sweet, but she's also very sure where Na is uncertain. I truly think that the only reason that they didn't work out the first time was because Na didn't have the presence of mind to work out how she feels and to come to terms with the fact that she likes a woman. For the first time in her life(!), that's a hell of a realisation. She had such a hard time processing it that she couldn't bring herself to tell her friend, and he's gay, he wouldn't have judged her.
However, I'm so so glad that Na came around and they did end up together! At least that's how i choose to interpret the ending scene. They work so well as a couple, and feeling comfort in a relationship is such a good sign. In my mind they live happily ever after.
My last point is her friends, there seem to be a pattern to how she interacts with them. I get it that they've had enough of her being a bit (or a lot) self centered with them and not being a good friend to them. Even so, she was clearly going haywire and they didn't intervene. So i guess they all suck a bit, which makes me hope she made up with them.
And that's it, only four episodes but they were so jam-packed with happenings that you kinda feel like Na by the end. What a wild ride!
