LEONARD NIMOY - FAGIN IN "OLIVER" - SACRAMENTO MUSIC CIRCUS, AUGUST, 1973
Sacramento Music Circus in 1973 was located downtown Sacramento at 1419 H St (which was really lucky for me, as I lived a few blocks away and could walk to the performances).
I heard on the radio that Leonard Nimoy would be appearing in the musical play, "Oliver," as Fagin, and purchased my tickets for August 22, 1973.
The performance was held in a large circus like tent. The flaps would be open in hopes of receiving cool air from the delta breeze, as summers in Sacramento can be toasty.
This was my first time seeing Leonard in person. He was wonderful, of course, as the cranky, scheming Fagin.
