In a weird mood and not really feeling like writing, so - as promised - have some mushrooms. All fungi were collected under permit from one of the local state forests, in an area that's primarily redwood and tanoak, with the occasional bay laurel and madrone.
From top L to bottom R:
1. Some kind of brittlegill, not sure which though.
2. Eyelash cups! These were so, SO tiny I almost missed them. Zoom in to see the "lashes".
3. I ID'd it as a brown cup fungus but might be somewhat off.
4. Witch's butter. Very damp, very squishy.
5. Oyster rollrims. Apparently they taste quite good but are unfortunately quite poisonous. Light ochre brown spore print.
6. Cramp balls, whose name never doesn't make me giggle.
7. No clue. Not turkey tail, but I don't know my shelf fungi well.
8. A puffball!
9. A baby Fat Jack. Spore print kind of a brownish buff?
10. Scarlet waxy cap. This thing was gorgeous. Unfortunately at one point I tripped and it broke apart so I couldn't get a spore print. :(
Remember: don't eat what you yourself can't 100% identify. Also, sorry for dirty fingernails. In my defense, I was literally digging in dirt for several hours.
