Museo Del Jamón
Multiple Locations. 2 of which are on Calle Mayor. Tourist trap? Highly likely. I stumbled into the place because someone I was with knew a “nice place”. The downstairs is a crowded standing room area where people are enjoying Mahou beer and jamón. There’s a very large dining area upstairs where servers run around like monkeys during peak hours serving Menu del Día. The primeros platos are definitely made already and are served assembly line fashion. If you’re looking for paella in 1 minute, look no further!
I got the jamón with melón and trucha a la plancha (grilled trout) off of the Menu del Día because I they’re known for their jamón. You can’t go wrong with jamón and 2 pieces of massive melón. The savory and sweet combination was surprisingly good. Grilled trout on the other hand, was whatever. It was fried btw, not grilled. Go for the jamón. Skip everything else!
