Nicholas didnt have a normal childhood. His father was a scientist who loved to experiment on humans. He was fascinated with the idea of mind transference and thats where Nicholas came in.

Nicholas was the only successful experiment. His father managed to put the concious of a dying man into his sons head.

He was only Seven.

What wasnt known at the time was the man was one of the most wanted serial killers in the United States. Jacob Steele otherwise known as The Flatliner because he stole the hearts of his victims and unknownly to everyone he would later cook them up and eat them.

Nicholas had learn to live with the voice in his head. The voice that was dark and brought in thoughts he would never usually think of. He would also have blank outs where he would wake up back in bed covered in blood. These were the moments where Jacob took over and had his fun.

As Nicholas grew older, he wanted to learn exactly how his father managed to transfer Jacobs mind into his own. He got his PhD in Neuroscience and began reading his father notes waiting to recreate his father work.

Jacon had taken over Nicholas' body. He had been bored and decided to have some fun. He decided to bring Alice along. He thought it would be nice to teach someone all he knew and she was willing to learn.
