Murray's Classic Cheeseburger has been a favorite for a long time. It has juicy beef patties, melted cheddar cheese, and a tasty homemade sauce. It's great for a barbecue or dinner during the week.
Ingredients: 1 lb ground beef. 4 burger buns. 4 slices of cheddar cheese. 1/4 cup mayonnaise. 2 tablespoons ketchup. 1 tablespoon mustard. 1/2 cup sliced pickles. 1/4 cup diced onions. Salt and pepper to taste. Lettuce and tomato slices for garnish.
Instructions: Warm up your grill or a skillet on the stove over medium-high heat. Shape the ground beef into 4 burger patties that are all the same size. Add salt and pepper to both sides. Put the burger patties on the grill or in a skillet. Cook for four to five minutes on each side for medium-rare, or longer if you like them more done. In the last minute of cooking, cover and put a slice of cheddar cheese on top of each patty. This will melt the cheese. Before you start cooking the burgers, split the buns in half and toast them briefly on the grill or in a toaster. To make the burger sauce, mix the mayonnaise, ketchup, and mustard in a small bowl. Spread the burger sauce on the toasted bun halves to put the burgers together. Put a tomato slice and a lettuce leaf on the bottom bun. Then add the cheesy burger patty on top of that. Add pickles and onions that have been cut up on top of the burger patty. Lastly, put the top bun on top of the other parts to finish the burger. Enjoy it hot with your favorite sides!
