So First to establish how many toads were in the tower. Now in Common Cause (awiw13) I establish the rough population of the valley to be roughly 10000 Amphibians. for a rough ratio of soldiers to civilians, lets use the Byzantine Empire Soldier to Civilian estimates I pulled from google

300,000 Soldiers : 20,000,000 Civilians

Which is about 1.5 Soldiers per 100 Civilians. Or for our purposes, about 150 soldiers for our valley garrison, which sounds about right for the tower. Now lets assume maybe 15 soldiers were absent on patrols/tax collection (as Toad Tower takes place directly after toad tax). So thats 135 possible victims

We also know that Marcy's gambit was devastating, it wasn't thorough. So lets say that 1 in every 5 toads managed to find someway to survive and flee. so that's 27 survivors which feels about right. So that puts the total kill count at around 108 Toads for Marcy. Certainly nothing to sneeze at.
