Genuinely wild that Jaina and Sylvanas never got to talk to one another in WotLK, not fight Arthas in the final battle and instead of all the characters to go into the final fight they choose Tirion… who basically had zero connection Arthas, and whose previous plot line was the imho actually far more compelling exile because he was one of the very first people to go against the grain of ‘kill all the Orcs.’ Yes they got the bone thrown to them of the Hall of Reflections but of all the people in the setting they were the ones who had the most connection to the dude.
I know it’s because this was like mid 2000s so they needed a man for it but fuck if they really wanted to bring back Muradin why not use him for THAT instead of essentially wasting him. Dude was with Arthas when he was in Northrend and at that tipping point/point of no return, when picked up Frostmourne, and he trained Arthas in how to fight back when Arthas was a kid!
There is some serious connection there and room for character growth and fun guilt on his end, all the while having the Light be what brings him back after he gets sacrificed while still contrived is WAY less silly then him just ACTUALLY only getting Amnesia because Muradin was cool and they wanted to use him.
Just some random grumping on my end because I always find it strange how people glaze WotLK’s writing so much when it has so many baffling decisions even outside this and did a lot of the Warcraft 3 greats dirty imho.
