“I think we should circle back around to the idea of getting a pet,” Oliver says, apropos of absolutely nothing. “Preferably a puppy. Or maybe whatever the youngest we can get is that’s already potty trained.” He has a lot more free time than Peter does and he’d happily take on the bulk of the work, but even so, having a puppy around is stressful for everyone in the vicinity. “One that looks like this,” he adds, holding up his phone to one of his many saved photos.

“  i’m  really  glad  to  hear  that  there  weren’t  any  severe  emergencies  while  i  was  gone  ,  ”  lyra  comments  .  yes  she  was  on  call  and  she  knows  sena  is  more  than  capable  of  handling  any  and  all  emergencies  .  but  she  still  would’ve  hated  to  have  her  family  time  interrupted  .  “  and  i  heard  capture  the  flag  was  a  success  .  ”

although she’d initially laughed off the suggestion, she’s become morbidly curious about the outcome the longer she’s thought about it. safiye isn’t accustomed to flirting with someone like peter, so she approaches with a hot chocolate spiked with baileys and peppermint syrup, stirring it slowly with a cinnamon stick. “are chaperones allowed to drink?” she asks with a smile, quirking an eyebrow. “because i made this just for you.” / @munozpeter​

“  hey  ,  ”  zara  smiles  ,  approaching  peter  in  the  slightly  quieter  corner  of  the  venue  .  “  you  get  a  chance  to  relax  and  have  a  bit  of  fun  yet  ?  sorry  i  missed  family  day  .  the  brunch  looked  spectacular  .  ”

“not to be a buzzkill, but the amount of injuries in the rec basement after it closes to the public each night is worrisome, to say the least.” a certain amount of injury on campus is to be expected, and not something they’re liable for, but this is a little different seeing as it’s during leisure time and no real safety precautions are in place. “have you considered instating some kind of ice skating life guard?” she’ll think of a better term for it later. / @munozpeter​
