stop bringing stuff back from the dead and having them look perfect and alive and unchanged. Tell the story of what happened after, show me the deterioration.
show me what 100s of years of anoxic water and slow burial in silts and peat at the bottom of a bog does to someone. Bring back the human sacrifice who's body was sealed in a dry frozen tomb and how that changed her. How did a nap in salts and incents and organ removal affect that pharaoh, he won't be a pretty boy I promise you that.
If a character was brought back from a fossil even better, leave some of the bone exposed, have crystals of the minerals that preserved them around, have plants that grow best in soils with those minerals growing from their body.
If I die and my bones get remineralized I hope it happens to be in conditions where pyrite can form, I'd also like to be in an area with a lot of soapstone bc I like how it feels and I think it would feel nice on my bones.
