It was true that, ever since his fight with his BIOLOGICAL son, he had not spoken to him much. It was before the android had been created, so he figured that it wouldnt have picked up on that fact. Which was... a stupid assumption to make. This was top of the line A.I and programming in the little android - so it did make sense that it would notice such things. As curious as a real child, he supposed.
Even if, the subject did make him uncomfortable to speak about because of the falling out with his son - he didn’t want to screw up this new son that he had built. And so he would glance down at him, brows pressing together for a moment. That was when he would shift away from his work and turn his full attention to Louie.
❝ Very well. I’ll tell you about your older brother. ❞ He found his robotic arms beginning to whirr slightly, but he would keep composure. ❝ Dib is, a very smart kid- he’s good with technology. But, he also is...very...eccentric. Headstrong, stubborn. He managed to convince himself that his little foreign friend, Zim, is an alien. That and his OBSESSION with the pseudoscience is...worrisome. ❞
No that obsession had been the very thing that drove a wedge between his and his son’s relationship. At least, in his eyes that was what it had been. Despite it having actually been a build up of everything - his constant dislike for it, his constant brushing it off, his never being around. And deep down he knew that, that’s why with his new son...his android child, he was actually TRYING. Maybe if he could have one good father child relationship he wouldn’t feel so bad.
❝ Gaz is... very different from Dib. She’s just as smart, but she cares more about her videogames than anything else. Which, I don’t really have an issue with, it does help her hand eye coordination improve. But she is very smart with technology too, she is my daughter after all. ❞
He paused, before continuing. And while he did mean what he was about to say, it was also something he wished he had told Dib.
❝ You’re very smart too, you know that, Louie? I’m very proud of you. ❞
