"Let's not panic!" Mei insisted. "This isn't the first time this has happened and it won't be the last." She turned to Kaito. "Send word to any able-bodied and non-busy member of the construction unit that we need to begin draining the excess water and create new channels to reroute the direction of the rain water." She instructed. "I will use my lava release to create new layers over top of the dirt thus making it more solid." She explained.
"Yes, Lady Mizukage," Kaito replied, bowing slightly in understanding of her instructions. He could sense the panic start to spread, but he was reminded of why Mei was their Mizukage, she was the leader the Hidden Mist needed ever since they started rebuilding.
Kaito became one of Mei's first guards and assistants since she took the roke of Mizukage, effectively her right hand man. He was loyal and devoted to her as an extension of her will, though he was still a shinobi, her leadership was always reassuring, even with his own self doubts.
"I will be right back to assist you once I'm done," he told her before rushing over to inform the construction unit and any shinobi on standby to inform them of Mei's plan. The majority, if not all, of their shinobi were capable of Water Release, which would help redirect the water away, especially towards and through Mei's lava release channels.

However, they would soon turn around to discover that the voice in question had come from a beautiful woman! Leorio made her want to dance. It was his heartbeat that sounded soft and even, it was his way of breathing that was steady, it was the rustle of his suit when he moved that sounded like a dancers costume.It was the stark contrast of that softness, even when there was a certaine sharp echo of irritation and annoyance in his song; soft against the cold white walls of the hospital corridor, soft against the throbbing of electrical wires always there and always in her ears, soft against the busy town past the hospital walls that was never sleeping and never letting her sleep. She did not danced; yet still there was a smile curling around the stark form of her fronteeth and her short fingers that felt heavy from tieredness started to tap,tap,tap against the side of her legs as lively as the others heartbeat made her feel. Behind the closed door the woman could hear Morels heartbeat strong and steady beating towards rest and recovery; past the door there was a hospital full of heartbeats, voices and medcial equipment beating, beating, beating like a livivng organism; and yet right now, right here, Senritsu wanted to focus on Leorios heartbeat because it was a balm to her ears. And she liked to dance sometime. Chuckling in all good humor the musician rubbed her small hands over her eyes, rubbing away the tiered heavieness that had lay on her eyelids like weights. And than, slowly, gently, she lifted a hand again to let it sway to the beautiful orchestra that was Leorio filling her ears. More amused than anything the woman looked up to the younger man and purred as sweetly as a cat ready to pounce on a mouse: "Mhmmmmm... I think I am just hearing a"
Her short, gnarled finger stopped its dance and instead she circled her left ear with one finger nimbly to show how keenly she was listening: "mhmmmmmmm....encore, right now. That could be, because I swear you have said those words before in the same tune to Kurapika." There was still that certaine shimmer in her dark eyes like from a cat ready to pounce on a prey, but her eyes had soften and her smile was just as soft.
"I am not Kurapika, Leorio.", Senritsu said gently- very gently, very very gently, much too gently- as if Leorio was made of brittle glass ready to crack at the slightest wisp a word can make. He did sounded like that: Tiered and worried until ready to break: "You do not need to worry about me. You already assai worry enough, audibly so." [ @multis-sermonibus ]
